"unplug, er, that's it" approachEg. OKI C5600 / C5650/ C5800 toner refill
The easiest way to do a toner refill, but not always possible. Good for refills
of more recent OKI toner cartridges like C5600, C5650, C5800, C5850 and their work-alikes.
In a thickening of the plot, OKI started to produce some "un-unplugable"
cartridges for some models from early 2009. We responded with free upgrades to our
"melt & pour" toner refill approach (see below).
Also the toner refill method of choice for many Samsung mono cartridges, most Brother
(including the superb HL-3040CN / HL-3070CW) and a smattering of toner refills from
other manufacturers.
Look in the price list
to see if your toner refill's an "unplug and pour".

"melt & pour" refillingEg. Hewlett Packard, Samsung colour
Melt your hole with the tool that comes in our dedicated starter kit. Pour the toner
in and tape over the hole. Star applications include refills for the Hewlett Packard
CP2025dn / CP2025n, Lexmark C522n, Samsung CLP-310 / CLP-315 and the HP CP1215 /
CP1515n toner refill shown right.
Is your toner refill just a "melt & pour"? Look it up in the
price list.
Tried and tested. We released "melt & pour" on an unsuspecting world
1996. And the toner cartridge industry laughed at us. Our customers laughed as well
- all the way to the bank. Thanks to all of you who didn't knock it before you'd
tried it.
Who's knocking it and who's trying it now? Try it with our electric melting tool
for easy, precise hole-making. Combines with our bottle spout to make a NO MESS
pouring system. That's NO MESS, even with micro fine toner. (Oh, OK. Depending on
who's doing it, almost no mess, then.)

The "unscrew, unplug & pour" toner refillEg. Samsung ML-2010 & ML-2240
Unscrew 2 screws in the case of this Samsung ML-2010 cartridge (left) to expose
the toner refill plug (well, that's what we call it). Looking at cartridges globally,
you could also be faced with 3, 4 or sometimes just a single screw before you can
prise the plug out.
Is your cartridge a case of taking out a screw or two? Find out in the
price list.
For technical reasons, for the Samsung ML-1910 / ML-1915 toner refill, we had to
break ranks and make it a "melt & pour". The
Samsung ML-1665 toner refill became the first of a new breed. See full information
here.
